Doodling through impeachment

People who know me know I am really invested in the goings-on in our government. But to occupy myself with the chaos in the background, I’ve been doodling with all the many markers in my collection.  I particularly like the ones from Tombow and Arteza, and I have some great acrylic markers from Acrylico.  I have tried several brands (from Amazon) but the Acrylicos are the best for a fine point marker if one wants to use acrylic.

I’m just posting photos of some of the scribble sketches here without (much) further comment.

I think that I shall never see…

…a poem as lovely as a tree…

When I was a child I spent many hours in the woods on our farm.  The trees were hundreds of years old.  There were pecan trees, oaks, and pines.  Circling the cultivated fields which stretched lengthwise through the middle of the farm was this wonderful forest.  There was a path that formed a semicircle from the house all the way around the fields until it emerged once again on the other side.  I knew every part of this path, exploring with my dog Shep.

It is perhaps for that reason I paint and sketch so many images of trees.  I try so hard to recapture those peaceful walks.

I’ve just uploaded a new painting.

Let me know if you like it.
